Invisalign

Invisalign is an effective alternative to traditional braces that use a system of clear, removable trays that changes tooth position to improve the look and function of your smile. Each tray is custom-made to fit over your teeth and designed to gradually move teeth into their proper place.

Why Invisalign?

Invisalign was created as an alternative to traditional braces, and is designed to help guide teeth into their proper position without metal brackets or wires. The trays are made with a strong plastic material, and are fabricated to fit your teeth. Each one is created a little differently, so that each time you switch trays, your teeth move a little more.

Trays are worn for at least 22 hours each day,  and are changed every two weeks. The length of your treatment depends on the severity of your case and can take anywhere between six months to two years.

Advantages of Invisalign:

  • Easier to keep clean, making it easier to maintain the health of your teeth and gums.
  • More comfortable and less likely to irritate your gums and cheeks.
  • Prevent wear on the teeth from tooth grinding.
  • Trays are removable so it's easier for you to brush and floss after meals, and there are less restrictions on diet.

If you're interested in treatment with Invisalign, schedule an appointment and talk to our doctors about whether or not this is the right treatment option for you. Scheduling a consultation is your first step toward achieving the beautiful smile you've always wanted.

Smart Moves

Smart Moves aligners are also an effective alternative to traditional braces that use a system of clear, removable trays, but are only used to make minor to moderate movements to straighten teeth.  Similar to Invisalign, they use progressively differently shaped trays to change tooth position.

Why Smart Moves?

Smart Moves is best used in cases where there are only small changes to be made to front teeth.  The aligners typically do not improve the position on posterior teeth, which is sometimes necessary to improve smile and fucntion.  The most common type of patient that is a candidate for Smart Moves are those that have relapsed after having previous treatment with braces.  There are specific requirements to be met when you are a candidate for Smart Moves, so we encourage you to ask our doctors about it if you're interested!
